Preparation & Use
Dip a single test strip into the quaternary sanitizer solution for the time indicated on the dispenser, then immediately compare the resulting color to the printed chart on the dispenser. The color match shows the approximate parts-per-million concentration of quat in the solution. If the reading falls below the required concentration for your local health code, drain and remake the sanitizer solution. Store dispensers in a dry location away from direct sunlight and moisture to preserve strip accuracy. Replace the dispenser when all 100 strips have been used.
Common Applications
Bar Maid Sani-Maid test strips are used wherever quaternary ammonium sanitizers are the chosen disinfectant. This includes bar glassware wash stations, restaurant three-compartment sinks, cafeteria sanitizing buckets, and fast food prep area wipe-down stations. They are not intended for chlorine-based or iodine-based sanitizer solutions; use the appropriate test strip type for those chemistries.
