Preparation & Use
- Rinse rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- Place rinsed rice in a pot with water and soak for 30 minutes.
- Bring rice and soaking water to a boil.
- Cover with a tight-fitting lid, reduce heat to low simmer, and cook for 20 minutes.
- Remove from heat while keeping covered, then let steam for 10 minutes.
- If rice is too firm at the end of cooking time, add 1 to 2 tablespoons water and cook longer.
- For rice cooker preparation, use the same water-to-rice ratio.
